Agreement

By accessing https://www.jameshoy.dev you agree to these Website Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

These terms govern use of the website only. Paid project work is governed separately by our Client Terms.

Who operates the site

The site is operated by James Hoy trading as Web Development UK Studios. Contact: info@jameshoy.dev.

Permitted use

You may use the site to learn about services, submit enquiries, sign in to your dashboard, and interact with tools we provide for active clients.

You must not misuse the site, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malware, scrape content in a way that harms the service, or use it for unlawful purposes.

Content and intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, content on this site (text, design, code samples shown in portfolios, demos, and branding) is owned by or licensed to us.

You must not copy, republish, or exploit site content for commercial purposes without written permission.

Content you submit (briefs, messages, uploads) remains yours; you grant us a licence to use it to evaluate, quote, and deliver services you request.

Portfolio, demos, and pricing

Work shown in galleries and interactive demos illustrates capability and past or sample projects. It is not a guarantee of future results or availability.

Pricing pages show guide ranges and typical scope. A binding quote only exists once we agree written scope and price (see Client Terms).

Accounts and sign-in

Where Google sign-in is offered, you are responsible for your Google account security. We may suspend access if we reasonably believe accounts are abused.

Disclaimer and liability

The site is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties about uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from general site use. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

Our total liability to you for claims arising from website use (excluding paid project work covered by Client Terms) is limited to £100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, whichever is greater.

Third-party links

The site may link to third parties (for example Stripe checkout). We are not responsible for their content or practices.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer rights where you are a consumer resident in the UK.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated version.
